Building loyalty amongst Australia's most popular newspapers

To engage News Corp’s metro masthead subscribers, I developed and ran a monthly campaigns for the Plus Rewards loyalty program highlighting the offers, giveaways and competitions available each month.

Using seasonal themes and eye catching design, the campaign ran across press, digital display, eDMs to drive subscribers to visit the Plus Rewards rewards website and redeem their rewards.

FATHER’S DAY GIFTING

 

Early on I discovered that subscribers often used their rewards as gifts. So for Father's Day, I led a campaign inviting subscribers to find the perfect present for their father on the Plus Rewards website. Using illustrated of different kinds of dads, we invited subscribers to find the perfect gift for their own dad.

THE OUTCOME

 

The campaign delivering the program's highest ever engagement rate and the formula was repeated with success the subsequent Mother's and Father's Days.

Overall the through the targeting of offers, ongoing creative campaigns and continual test and learn programs the rewards program reduced churn by 50%.
